Xiaomi officially announced that the annual imaging flagship Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be officially released at the end of this month (expected on February 26), and pre-sale has been opened on the official website. As the ultra-standard flagship model of the Xiaomi 15 series, this phone may become the strongest Android smartphone this year with its top hardware configuration and innovative imaging system. The following is our preliminary evaluation of the phone:
Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform, using TSMC’s 3nm process, with a maximum main frequency of 4.32GHz, and AnTuTu running points are expected to exceed 3 million, and the performance can be called the “ceiling”. With 16GB LPDDR5X memory and 1TB UFS4.0 storage, multitasking and large-scale game operation will be smoother. In addition, the phone has a built-in wing-shaped ring cold pump cooling system to ensure the stability of long-term high-performance output.
In terms of screen, it uses a 2K resolution Huaxing Optoelectronics OLED full-depth four-micro-curved screen, supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and takes into account immersive visual experience and touch feel.
The main camera of Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra is the same as that of the previous generation Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra. Both are the well-received 1-inch Sony LYT-900 with a large bottom, and the f/1.63-f/4.0 stepless variable aperture will also be retained. Sony LYT-900 is also one of the top CMOS in the industry, with strong photosensitivity, higher purity and dynamic range.

Although both CMOS are 50 million pixels, Samsung JN5 performs well in low-light environments due to the use of dual vertical transfer gate (D-VTG) technology and dual slope gain (DSG) technology, which can effectively reduce noise.
In short, the ultra-wide angle of Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra has stronger imaging capabilities in dark environments.
In terms of vertical telephoto, Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra also continues the previous generation 50 million pixel Sony IMX858, supports 3x optical zoom, equivalent to 70mm focal length, f/1.8 aperture, and supports telephoto macro.
The biggest upgrade of Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra in terms of imaging is obviously the periscope telephoto, which will be upgraded from the previous generation 50 million pixel Sony MX858 to the 200 million pixel Samsung ISOCELL HP9, which has an f/2.6 aperture, a 1/1.4 inch large bottom, supports 4.3x optical zoom, and is equivalent to 100mm focal length.
Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra has a built-in 6000mAh Jinshajiang battery, supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, and improves charging efficiency and safety.
